The Director’s Cut vs. Dinner For Schmucks

DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
This week on the Director’s Cut radio show the guys review a movie about something that happens to them on daily basis. The film is Dinner For Schmucks, but the guys from the show don’t dine with schmucks, oh no, they ARE the schumcks. To be fair, we were treated to a surprisingly organized and informative show. Brian has the scoop on Hollywood that many tabloid journalists would drool over, Rebecca sits-in to give her two cents about the movie, and Dan plays a new game: The Ollie The Idiot game. As always, they count down the top ten list, and read that listener mail that we’ve all been writing. It’s the Director’s Cut, the two hour show about movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. The A-Team!

The A-Team ROCKS!
The A-Team ROCKS!
This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys take on the A-Team! Listen-in as they do their best to tell the listeners about the movie without giving away too much detail. It’s a difficult task, especially for them, but they promise to deliver. Plus, Brian sits-in again and goes out of control! Dan also goes on a two segment tirade over Mr. T and racism! It’s the Director’s Cut, the movie show about everything but movies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Robin Hood

Robin Hood and his Merry Men

The week on the Director’s Cut the guys sit-down and talk about the new Ridley Scott super epic, Robin Hood. Unfortunately, this is Sean’s last show behind the mic, but he’s threatening to keep in touch. They also get into the latest at the box office, read your listener mail, and crack Ollie’s balls right in half. Plus, we get a very special treat in Davenport’s pick of the week: Defendor! Finally, the guys come to a stirring and frightening realization: this year’s line-up of movies is going to be garbage. The only thing we can do as movie-enthusiasts is pray to the movie-gods for something worth-while. Anyways, we’ll keep watchin’ em, if you keep listening- it’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Iron Man 2!

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2

This week on The Director’s Cut the guys butt heads with Iron Man yet again for their viewing of Iron Man 2. Dan, Ollie, and Sean all go to the film, get wild, and cause a stir when they see the new Director’s Cut ad on the big screen before the show. The best response from the audience was total silence. Plus we hear from the guys and gals of the Screen Team. Also, as an added bonus, the studio gets hi-jacked by the Director’s cut mothers for Mother’s Day and things get crazy. The guys later read your listener mail and count down the top ten best blockbusters. Be sure so listen-in because choosy moms choose the Director’s cut!

The Director’s Cut vs A Nightmare on Elm St.

This week on the Director’s Cut we take on none other than Freddy Krueger himself! Dan, Ollie and Sean sit-in to give you their take on the newest Hollywood re-make of a classic horror flick; there may be some surprises! The guys comment on Jackie Earle Haley’s performance as Freddy, and the differences and similarities between the old franchise and the new hotness. Later in the show the guys take a moment to chat with the gentlemen from The Screen Team, and wax intellectual on movies and mothers. Dan loves to make moms happy. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies and mothers.

The Director’s Cut vs Date Night

Date Night with the Director’s Cut

This week the guys (and Debra) review the new Steve Carell/Tina Fey flick, Date Night! As you can probably imagine, the crew takes a moment to each reflect on a date night that they all had. Debra talks about cheap dates, Dan talks about mean chicks, and Ollie… well Ollie talks about chimps and strip clubs. Plus, the crew read your listener mail, and count down the top ten date movies! All in a day’s work for the Director’s Cut.

The Director’s Cut vs. Alice in Wonderland

Alice In Wonderland

This week on the Director’s Cut Dan and Ollie truly find themselves in wonderland. They have guests, callers, and the show is (as hard as it is to believe) pretty funny. As always, they do their review of the movie, but this week Dan introduces The Big Sausage Game! There’s no Davenport pick this week, but some of our listeners try their luck against the devilish genius of Dan Gutierrez and Debra West. Just ask yourself: what would it sound like to say the Director’s Cut with your mouth stuffed with a giant sausage?

The Director’s Cut vs. Copout!

Cellphones + John McClain = bad ass!
Cellphones + John McClain = bad ass!

This week on the Director’s Cut, Ollie and Sean go it alone! Dan decided to give Ollie a big “F you” and sit this week out. Oddly enough, the show wasn’t a total failure. The guys talked about movie info, the review, Debra’s News and Abuse, and get a Davenport pick. It was a full plate for Ollie and Sean, but they seemed to go dutch and divided it up accordingly. Last, they count down the top 10 police comedy movies. It’s the Director’s Cut! That two hour show about…. something.

The Director’s Cut vs. From Paris With Love, and Dear John

Paris is full of love!
Paris is full of love!

This week on the Director’s Cut we have yet another double review. Sean and Ollie went to see From Paris With Love, but Dan saw Dear John. WEAK. Dan’s in dire need of a come to Jesus. Regardless, the guys give us the 411 on the new movies and actually give us a decent take on them. Plus, Davenport has a new pick of the week and Debra gives us the latest News and Abuse. Last but not least, we count down the top ten movies with a bald guy. Also, Captain KY sends a very special email, and Johnny Rocker threatens the entire cast! Next week, the guys are going to see The Wolfman… hopefully they ALL go to see the same movie. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies… and a whole lot more!

The Director’s Cut vs. When In Rome

When In Rome, do as Kristen Bell does...
When In Rome, do as Kristen Bell does...

This week, the Director’s Cut reviews When In Rome and The Edge of Darkness; but mainly When In Rome. Why, you ask? Because, once again, Sean was too good to see the movie of the week. This time, Dan and Ollie tag team the movie, and Ollie admits that he probably is Umberto (the hypersexual Italian brother-in-law). The guys had a lot to say, so be sure to check out their review. Plus, since Davenport wasn’t able to do a pick this week, it was lucky that Sean’s movie snobbery got the better of him and compelled him to see Edge of Darkness. His review makes Ollie mad and they go round and round. Regardless, the show was nuts. Dan instigates problems, Ollie gets amped and sings for three minutes, and Sean… well Sean just hates everything. It’s just another day of the Director’s Cut!
