The Director’s Cut vs Jackass 3D vs Red

This week on the Director’s Cut, the listeners get a two-for-one! Dan went and saw Jackass 3-D, while Ollie saw Red. It was a jam-packed show, but there was one problem: it was total chaos! Brian delivered the goods as far as news goes, so fret ye not, but for some reason Brian was a man possessed, and had a number of seemingly coded messages for the guys and for the listeners. On another topic: Dan and Ollie have indefinitely switched roles, and now it is Ollie who’s the level head, and Dan is the grouch. Believe you me, Dan was in rare form. Finally, as per usual, the guys have your top ten list (about retirement), and play fun games. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about going totally insane.

The Director’s Cut vs. wild card movies

Lots o movies
Lots o movies

This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie see a ton of movies! Ollie sees this, Dan sees that, and what you end up with is a TON of info. Speaking of a ton of info; Brian gives the guys a nice, neat, and organized format for the show, with lots of information, and instead of talking about it, they go on and on about naked women. Good job guys. Plus, there’s a very special guest in studio: Sean Gandert! He sits-in to give us the latest pick for the Elitist Corner, and the guys get a few calls from Tin Pan to play the new game, Before and After! It’s all on the latest edition of the Director’s Cut, the show about… naked women?

The Director’s Cut vs. When In Rome

When In Rome, do as Kristen Bell does...
When In Rome, do as Kristen Bell does...

This week, the Director’s Cut reviews When In Rome and The Edge of Darkness; but mainly When In Rome. Why, you ask? Because, once again, Sean was too good to see the movie of the week. This time, Dan and Ollie tag team the movie, and Ollie admits that he probably is Umberto (the hypersexual Italian brother-in-law). The guys had a lot to say, so be sure to check out their review. Plus, since Davenport wasn’t able to do a pick this week, it was lucky that Sean’s movie snobbery got the better of him and compelled him to see Edge of Darkness. His review makes Ollie mad and they go round and round. Regardless, the show was nuts. Dan instigates problems, Ollie gets amped and sings for three minutes, and Sean… well Sean just hates everything. It’s just another day of the Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs. Amelia

This week on The Director’s Cut Dan is out of town and Ollie takes it as an opportunity to mess everything up. The segments get ruined, the music gets messed up, there’s no Davenport pick, and the guys tell us what they think of Amelia. Fortunately there aren’t too many problems when the guys interview Tim Mclelland, director and writer of Fugue State. Also, Sean invites his girlfriend to help with the show which prompts Ollie to show his sleeze when he starts making moves at her and tries to break them up with a series of 20 questions.
Next week we have an open review because we are closing the polls for our top ten list (which is top ten Halloween Party Movies) and Davenport has a very special Halloween segment! This time, we’re going to tell you how to pick a Davenport’s pick,  and give you the top ten movies to play during your Halloween parties that will make your party unforgettable! It’s all on The Director’s Cut, the 2 hour show about movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. Where the Wild Things Are

The Director's Cut with Where the Wild Things Are

This week, we went to see “Where The Wild Things Are” and this week’s Top Ten List is “Top Ten Childhood Memories Movies” – Sort of fits the movie we reviewed.  Davenport gives us 2 picks to take a peek at; one could quite possibly be the “Greatest Horror Movie of All Time!”  Sean Gandert gets heated in a “Where The Wild Things Are” Debate. Dan makes fun of Ollie – per usual. It’ll be fun 🙂 We eat pizza during the show – Because it’s almost as delicious as pies.

Our top ten list for next week is “Top Ten Movies with a Woman’s Name in the title” so don’t forget to vote:

The Director’s Cut vs. Couples Retreat

The Director's Cut reviews Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn
The Director's Cut reviews Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn

This week we review “Couples Retreat” starring Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Kristin Davis, Malin Akerman, and Kristen Bell.  Plus, we count down the Top Ten Women of Hollywood we want to see NAKED (hehehehe). Ollie took notes during the movie and we go over every single notation and judge him for what he wrote. Also, We need your nominations at podcastawards.com because we want to win that award. If we do, we promise more nude photos of beautiful women and and more merkin songs during the holidays – those were great, remember?

Remember to vote for your favorite movie based on a childhood memory for next week:

The Directors Cut vs Orphan

Orphan Girl is Creepy

Since the Summer movie season has slowed down we decided to review Orphan.  There is not much to say about that movie here, but if you listen to the show we have plenty to say. Well, about something. Our top ten list is top ten movies with Orphans. We count count down the movies that made Orphans stand up and say we are not forgotten.

Also, Ollie is still in Spain. As if any0ne cares. Well I know Ollie cares that we write his name here so here we go:

OLLIE RIGGLE!

I hope that lets him know that we still love him… or at least we love breaking his balls even though he’s in Spain!
