The Director’s Cut vs. The Social Network vs. Relationships?

the social network
the social network

This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys talk about The Social Network… or do they? The show goes off without a hitch, Brian does his news, they talk about DVD releases, etc. However; when the show gets to the point were the guys would normally talk about the movie, a strange thing happens- they don’t. Instead, they use the opportunity to chat, in detail, about Dan’s recent and unfortunate breakup. So as a warning; the guys didn’t talk about the movie at all. They did, however, both say, “see it.” Plus, the guys unveil a new game, and count down the top ten list (so not too much was out of place). It’s the Director’s Cut, the show about being sad.

The Director’s Cut vs. Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps

Wall-Street-2
Wall-Street-2

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys take on the crooks and criminals on Wallstreet, and America cheers. Money changes hands from the Director’s Cut to the economy and never comes back; guess who won that battle. Anyway, Brian soothes the Wallstreet burn with a heavy dose of news, abuse, gadgets and sluts. Well, not really sluts, but who can tell the difference? Plus the guys talk to Sean, and get yet another mind-numbing alcohol/movie coupling with the Elitist Corner. Finally, Dan and Ollie talk with Zon, son of Thor and scream Odin’s name to the very halls of Valhalla! It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about being guys.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Town

The Town

This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys go head-to-head with the multi-“talented” Ben Affleck and his first venture into acting, directing, and writing. Brian talks a bit about what’s new in Hollywood, and then goes on to touch on gadgets, gizmos, trophy wives, and more. Plus, Dan and Ollie chat for a bit with the founder of Nerdcore, MC Frontalot. Don’t know what Nerdcore is? Neither did Ollie. learn more at www.frontalot.com. Also, Brian goes on a swing-dancing date with Rebecca, and Ollie gives him one chance in three to seal the deal. Oddly enough, Sean does him one better and gives him 2-to-1 (he must’ve known something that Ollie didn’t). Finally, they count down the top ten list and wrap things up… it’s the Director’s Cut, taking odds on everyone’s love life.

BONUS!!! Take our poll on how Brian’s date went on Saturday night!

This week on the Director’s Cut, the the guys take on the latest installment of the undead movie franchise, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D. Milla’s still super hot, but does she still have what it takes to save what’s left of the world from the T-virus? Find out what Dan and Ollie say. Plus, Brian’s got some very informative news about Lawrence Fishbourne’s daughter as it relates to the skill vs fame scale. The guys also chat with Sean and his latest pick for the Elitist Corner: Breathless (to be accompanied by a stiff, Grey Goose Vodka Martini). Plus, they talk with Carlos Miller and how he’s been arrested for simply taking photos. Listen-in to find out why! It’s all on the Director’s Cut, the greatest EVER. P.S. Next week we’re talking with Zon, son of none other than Jon Mikl Thor! Be sure to tune in!

The Director’s Cut vs. Machete

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys hit the theater for yet another grindhouse-like kill flick. That prompts them to talk top ten movies with pissed off Mexicans. None other than Davenport himself sits-in, live on the show and give us his two cents about everything under the sun. Plus, they hear some bad/sad news from Sean during the Elitist Corner. Brian delivers on Hollywood’s latest news and trashiness, and we take a very interesting call from a mystery guest and hilarity ensues. It’s the Director’s Cut, making everything all squishy and stuff.

The Director’s Cut vs Scott Pilgram Vs The World

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys see a movie they probably should have seen already. They went and saw Scott Pilgram vs The World. A number of interesting things also happened on the show: News and abuse from Brian Gutierrez, the latest in gadgets and gizmos, great new music from independent artists, and much more. What else? Well, for starters, the guys had two very special guests on the show: Brian Thompson, and former Miss New Mexico, Casey Messer, herself! Not to mention that they were able to convince her to play the big sausage game! That’s right, you know it, it’s the Director’s Cut in the places you want to be!

The Director’s Cut vs Piranha 3D!

Piranha
How many Piranha movies are there?

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys swim with the fish and show their underwater technique. It was all about Piranha 3D, so the top ten list was top ten movies with fish. As you’ve come to expect, Brian has the latest scoop on Hollywood, Dan and Ollie talk wacky gadgets for whacking, and then spend a bit of time talking with independent musicians. The musical guest for this week was Tin Pan, if you wanna check them out, just go to tinpanband.com. Finally, the guys get to the listener mail and play a nice little round of Coming Up Or Made It Up. It’s all right here, on The Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs The Expendables

the_expendables
the_expendables
This week the guys on the Director’s Cut take on the veteran action men from The Expendables! That’s right, all of their childhood heroes are wrapped up into one movie. Needless to say, Ollie had an orgasm… or did he? It’s always hard to tell. If Ollie’s sexual exploits don’t tickle your fancy, then it’s likely that you may be more interested in the news, (as are we all) and you’ll be happy to hear that Brian’s got the latest and greatest out of Hollywood. That’s not your cup of tea either? How about a pair of interviews with local film-makers? No? Oh, I know, how about new music from unsigned artists? Not really? Well then surely you’d be interested in the top ten list. You don’t think so? Hmph… there’s simply no pleasing you. It’s the Director’s Cut… the guy’s show about disappointment and impotency.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Other Guys

the other guys
the other guys
The week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys check out The Other Guys. Believe it or not, that actually fits in quite nicely with a portion of the show. How’s that you ask? Well, there’s a bit of talk about Prop 8 and how happy Brian is for Ollie (and Ollie for Brian), and that would explain why they spent the weekend checking out guys. Apparently they sent a lot of time doing just that. Plus they’ve got Becca in the studio and they play more of the Ollie The Idiot game. Dan loves it. And of course, they read listen mail, and get a pick from the Elitist Corner with Sean Gandert. It’s the Director’s Cut, the OTHER guys of radio.

The Director’s Cut vs. Dinner For Schmucks

DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
This week on the Director’s Cut radio show the guys review a movie about something that happens to them on daily basis. The film is Dinner For Schmucks, but the guys from the show don’t dine with schmucks, oh no, they ARE the schumcks. To be fair, we were treated to a surprisingly organized and informative show. Brian has the scoop on Hollywood that many tabloid journalists would drool over, Rebecca sits-in to give her two cents about the movie, and Dan plays a new game: The Ollie The Idiot game. As always, they count down the top ten list, and read that listener mail that we’ve all been writing. It’s the Director’s Cut, the two hour show about movies!
