The Director’s Cut vs. From Paris With Love, and Dear John

Paris is full of love!
Paris is full of love!

This week on the Director’s Cut we have yet another double review. Sean and Ollie went to see From Paris With Love, but Dan saw Dear John. WEAK. Dan’s in dire need of a come to Jesus. Regardless, the guys give us the 411 on the new movies and actually give us a decent take on them. Plus, Davenport has a new pick of the week and Debra gives us the latest News and Abuse. Last but not least, we count down the top ten movies with a bald guy. Also, Captain KY sends a very special email, and Johnny Rocker threatens the entire cast! Next week, the guys are going to see The Wolfman… hopefully they ALL go to see the same movie. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies… and a whole lot more!

The Director’s Cut vs. Legion

The week on the Director’s Cut we review the movie Legion. Dan was excited, Ollie was excited, and Sean… well nothing excites Sean. Which would probably explain why Sean went and saw The Tooth Fairy instead. Fortunately for us, Ollie (that jerk) started a new job and got dooped into staying late. Needless to say, he missed most of the show.  Plus, Davenport hits us with an interesting new review, talks about the movie Moon and his official pick is a movie directed by a friend of Doug Jones (The Ice Cream Man of Legion in photo on left ),  and calls Ollie out regarding a difference of opinion about Sherlock Holmes. That wasn’t all he had to say about Ollie either. Last, the guys also embark on yet another bet; this one involving Dan’s friend Brian, a Match.com profile, and a box of scorpions.

The Director’s Cut vs. Avatar!

Hot smurfs are HOT!

This week we review the most expensive movie in history: Avatar! Yes, yes, Dan and Ollie checked out the full 3-D experience to give the most honest and knowledgable review they could possibly do (yeah, right). Just to cover all of our bases, Sean saw the 2-D version, so that the guys could compare and contrast. Dan also reveals some revolutionary ideas he has for 3-D and Ollie tells us about his favorite part.

Last, but certainly NOT least, we have a very special surprise for Davenport’s pick of the week: A surprise interview with none other than legendary, metal icon and Davenport idol, Jon Mikl Thor!!!! That’s right, Jon Mikl Thor from the essential Davenport pick: Rock N’ Roll Nightmare! Surprised? Well, so were we. It’s yet another zany edition of The Director’s Cut, the guy’s show  about movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. Brothers

Hot sisters, SO much better than Brothers
Hot sisters, SO much better than Brothers

The week on The Director’s Cut we review Brothers, so our top ten list is: movies about cheating! Dan didn’t get to see the movie but did have some interesting things to say about Hollywood wannabe indie-films and Sean and Ollie get heated. We also play music by the unsigned band: Ratchet. You can check out their stuff at www.ratchetontour.info. Plus Davenport tries to provoke Dan and we read your listener mail! It’s the Director’s Cut, that two-hour show all about the movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. Ninja Assassin, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

We review Ninja Assassin & The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Sean and Ollie hit the audience with a surprise that they would never have guessed. Plus Dan has a number of interesting things to say about Wes Anderson and we try to get the Davenport pick but have some communication issues.

Davenports Pick of the Week: [Rec]
We discuss Wes Anderson and if he’s a valuable director or an idiot.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Twilight Saga: New Moon

We review The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Dan hates women.

Ollie tells us about what happened when he went to the midnight screening.
Top Ten Movies That Sean Doesn’t Want to See
Dan explains how Ollie is a womanizer and when he finally gets the woman, he gets too attached too quickly, she freaks out and leaves.
Ollie thinks he’s a nice guy… Then why is he still single?

The Director’s Cut vs. 2012

Dan tries to convince the others that Tyler Perry is the greatest movie amateur of our time. Davenport almost gets fired from his new video game testing job. It’s almost our fault. Plus Ollie’s still gay and Sean hates everything that Hollywood releases! Top ten movies with a Date in the title. Davenport’s Pick of The Week: Whatever Works.

This week on The Director’s Cut, we review one of our most anticipated movies Zombieland starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma Stone.  This week’s we counted down the Top Ten Most Bad Ass Movie Titles – EVER!  Davenport has the perfect movie pick for throwing a party “42nd Street Forever Vol. 1” and we have a very special guest in the studio.  Sean Gandert hangs out with Dan and assists The Director’s Cut in surviving a Zombie Apocalypse movie.  Dan is finally less stressed out this week with work; yay!

Mysterious Being (me) had a friend from Minnesota who visited. They went to Old Town and bought some Cactus Candy; it’s a pretty good movie snack so those of you with a sweet tooth should check it out.  Sadly, there were no pranks played on Dan this week (except for what Ollie pulled) (I’m Totally running out of ideas).
