The Director’s Cut vs The Expendables

This week the guys on the Director’s Cut take on the veteran action men from The Expendables! That’s right, all of their childhood heroes are wrapped up into one movie. Needless to say, Ollie had an orgasm… or did he? It’s always hard to tell. If Ollie’s sexual exploits don’t tickle your fancy, then it’s likely that you may be more interested in the news, (as are we all) and you’ll be happy to hear that Brian’s got the latest and greatest out of Hollywood. That’s not your cup of tea either? How about a pair of interviews with local film-makers? No? Oh, I know, how about new music from unsigned artists? Not really? Well then surely you’d be interested in the top ten list. You don’t think so? Hmph… there’s simply no pleasing you. It’s the Director’s Cut… the guy’s show about disappointment and impotency.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Other Guys

The week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys check out The Other Guys. Believe it or not, that actually fits in quite nicely with a portion of the show. How’s that you ask? Well, there’s a bit of talk about Prop 8 and how happy Brian is for Ollie (and Ollie for Brian), and that would explain why they spent the weekend checking out guys. Apparently they sent a lot of time doing just that. Plus they’ve got Becca in the studio and they play more of the Ollie The Idiot game. Dan loves it. And of course, they read listen mail, and get a pick from the Elitist Corner with Sean Gandert. It’s the Director’s Cut, the OTHER guys of radio.

The Director’s Cut vs. Dinner For Schmucks

DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS
This week on the Director’s Cut radio show the guys review a movie about something that happens to them on daily basis. The film is Dinner For Schmucks, but the guys from the show don’t dine with schmucks, oh no, they ARE the schumcks. To be fair, we were treated to a surprisingly organized and informative show. Brian has the scoop on Hollywood that many tabloid journalists would drool over, Rebecca sits-in to give her two cents about the movie, and Dan plays a new game: The Ollie The Idiot game. As always, they count down the top ten list, and read that listener mail that we’ve all been writing. It’s the Director’s Cut, the two hour show about movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. SALT

SALT
SALT
This week on the Director’s Cut the guys add a little more Salt to their diets. Dan and Ollie discuss the finer points of ageing gracefully and make a number of interesting and surprising discoveries. Plus, Russell and the “Tan” Man from The Screen Team give us a blow-by-blow report from Comic-Con 2010! Ollie’s true grouchiness comes through when Russell brings up the Green Lantern, and Dan keeps things moving along by reminding them that Tommy Wiseau would be present at the event as well. Dan and Ollie also play 5 questions with Brian and cause him to promptly get up and get out… it’s just another dramatic piece from the Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs Inception

This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, Dan and Ollie get into an interesting and lengthy conversation about how school is a waste of time. Ollie then offers his advice… and retracts. Plus Brian joins them in the studio, only to be outed in reference to all of the nasty and hateful things he had to say about 4chan during the commercial break. They also read your listener mail, and count down the top ten movies about dreams. For the 23rd of July they’re going to see SALT! It’s the Director’s Cut… in your dreams!

The Director’s Cut vs Despicable Me vs Predators

This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys (and gals) run out to see two films. We get a review of both Despicable Me and Predators. They also have a myriad of special guests sit-in and give some fresh perspectives on the latest from Hollywood. Plus, Ollie delivers a special World Cup report, they read your listener mail, and finally the guys count down the top ten movies about Alien attacks. You know you love it. It’s the Director’s Cut!

The Directors Cut Vs Twilight 3 Electric Boogalee (or just Eclipse)

The Twilight Saga Eclipse
The Twilight Saga Eclipse

This week in the show, we finally fire Ollie… thank GOD! Plus, we bring in Becca and Ashleighe to hang out and talk about crochet and Twilight Eclipse. We will answer the burning questions that have been bugging us for a years, like “Is ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ the greatest movie of all time?” and, “why does it always seem to smell like urine in the studio?” Also during the show we cover the top 10 movies that you wish you can Unsee! Turns out to be a great list for Christmas presents for people you hate! Also, click on the left to sign up for Angie’s List and Match.com, if you are looking for someone to love and clean your teeth. Look at that, we are covering all bases, love, movies, and descent dental care. So join us this week on “The Directors Cut, The greatest show about movies… EVER!”

The Directors Cut Radio Program vs. Knight and Day

This week on The Directors Cut Radio Program we review “Knight and Day” which inspired us to count down the Top Ten Movies starring somebody we hate! Also, Brian hangs out in the studio and gets us up to date on happenings in the world wide web. We also discuss the beauty Cameron Diaz and her dilemma… aging. Plus we play and accidentally review/slam some indie bands. We’re gonna send our tapes to the PR firm representing them, and we’ll let you know how the drama plays out. Yeah we’re jerks, mostly.

The Director’s Cut vs Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3
This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie go out to see the latest and greatest adventure where one’s toys somehow get out of their house, and try to find their way home. Dan takes a moment to remind Ollie that he’s an amateur with little hope of compensation because he doesn’t pull his weight. Plus, there’s proof when Dan asks Ollie to report on his trip to E3. Fortunately, Davenport had the scoop as well as his pick of the week, and saved the day. It was a close one, but all of the movies were reported on and the E3 did get some coverage after all! It’s the Director’s Cut, the show about Ollie’s mediocrity.
