The Director’s Cut vs. Robin Hood

Robin Hood and his Merry Men
Robin Hood and his Merry Men

The week on the Director’s Cut the guys sit-down and talk about the new Ridley Scott super epic, Robin Hood. Unfortunately, this is Sean’s last show behind the mic, but he’s threatening to keep in touch. They also get into the latest at the box office, read your listener mail, and crack Ollie’s balls right in half. Plus, we get a very special treat in Davenport’s pick of the week: Defendor! Finally, the guys come to a stirring and frightening realization: this year’s line-up of movies is going to be garbage. The only thing we can do as movie-enthusiasts is pray to the movie-gods for something worth-while. Anyways, we’ll keep watchin’ em, if you keep listening- it’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Iron Man 2!

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2

This week on The Director’s Cut the guys butt heads with Iron Man yet again for their viewing of Iron Man 2. Dan, Ollie, and Sean all go to the film, get wild, and cause a stir when they see the new Director’s Cut ad on the big screen before the show. The best response from the audience was total silence. Plus we hear from the guys and gals of the Screen Team. Also, as an added bonus, the studio gets hi-jacked by the Director’s cut mothers for Mother’s Day and things get crazy. The guys later read your listener mail and count down the top ten best blockbusters. Be sure so listen-in because choosy moms choose the Director’s cut!

The Director’s Cut vs A Nightmare on Elm St.

This week on the Director’s Cut we take on none other than Freddy Krueger himself! Dan, Ollie and Sean sit-in to give you their take on the newest Hollywood re-make of a classic horror flick; there may be some surprises! The guys comment on Jackie Earle Haley’s performance as Freddy, and the differences and similarities between the old franchise and the new hotness. Later in the show the guys take a moment to chat with the gentlemen from The Screen Team, and wax intellectual on movies and mothers. Dan loves to make moms happy. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies and mothers.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Losers

The Losers
The Losers

This week on the Director’s cut, the guys take on The Losers. Unfortunately, it’s possible that the guys on the Director’s cut are even bigger losers than the losers. In fact, Dan takes a few minutes to point out to Ollie a myriad of reasons as to why he should just accept the truth that  he is, without a doubt, a MASSIVE loser. But Dan doesn’t go unscathed Comcast calls in, to remind him how much of a loser he is too, and let us all know how poor Dan really is. Plus, we hear from Brian, read your listener mail, and count down the top ten movies with losers. We can smell our own… it’s the Director’s cut, the guy’s show about movies.

The Directors Cut KICK-ASS! YES WE DO, AND SO DOES OUR REVIEW!

Kick-Ass Movie Poster
Kick-Ass Movie Poster

This week on “The Directors Cut” we review “Kick-Ass”. Plus Ollie complains, but it is one of the funniest complaints we have heard in years! Ollie is complaining that Dan doesn’t consider him to be a friend, and he is merely a “co-worker”. Well the debate still rages on, you decide by voting with a “listener mail”. Sean takes the sidelines and referees the debate. Also, our top ten movies are “Top Ten Movies That Kick-Ass!” Enjoy the show! Seriously, this is a good one… We needed one of those.

The Director’s Cut vs Date Night

Date Night with the Director's Cut
Date Night with the Director’s Cut

This week the guys (and Debra) review the new Steve Carell/Tina Fey flick, Date Night! As you can probably imagine, the crew takes a moment to each reflect on a date night that they all had. Debra talks about cheap dates, Dan talks about mean chicks, and Ollie… well Ollie talks about chimps and strip clubs. Plus, the crew read your listener mail, and count down the top ten date movies! All in a day’s work for the Director’s Cut.

The Director’s Cut vs. Clash of The Titans

Release the KRAKEN!
Release the KRAKEN!

This week on the Director’s Cut Dan, Ollie, Debra, and Sean talk Titans and Krakens! The Director’s Cut crew review the new version of Clash of The Titans, and compare and contrast vs the old version. Plus, Dan gets super excited to reveal Debra and Ollie’s surprise and Sean (in true Sean fashion) goes to see a different movie all together. The gift was bad-ass but we couldn’t show said gift from Dan to Debra and Ollie because they (quite seriously) threatened legal action! What could Dan have purchased that could be SO bad?! It’s all right here on the Director’s Cut, that two hour show about movies and lawsuits!

THE DIRECTORS CUT, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, AND GETTING PUNCHED IN THE FACE!

Hot Tub Time Machine
Hot Tub Time Machine

This week on The Directors Cut Radio Program, we highlight “Hot Tub Time Machine”. We cover the top 10 movies about time travel. We travel through time! Like a teenage wolf driving 88 miles an hour in a Delorean. Ollie goes missing, but Debra hangs out in the studio. One issue, Dan has a very big surprise for the two of them! Theyhttp://www.thedirectorscutradio.com/ will find out on (April 3rd). Brian (Dan’s Friend) said, “This is a sign you have too much money or you just hate your friends… or both”. Unfortunately Dan considers Ollie a co-worker and not a friend, so neither could be true. Well, enjoy the show, it wasn’t that bad. So get excited for “The Directors Cut”, the guys show about movies.

Also, this Friday we are going to host a “The Room” party at my house! So, if you want to pop by send me an email (dan@thedirectorscutradio.com) and I’ll get you directions.

The Director’s Cut vs. She’s Out of My League and Remember Me

She's out of our league
She's out of our league

This week on the Director’s Cut the guys review two movies: She’s Out of My League and Remember Me. It turns out that there’s no end to how much Dan can break Ollie’s balls. Fortunately, Michael Vu stops by to say hi and give us something to talk about other than Ollie’s girlfriend, or his numerous profiles on various internet dating sites. Debra gives us the latest news and abuse and the guys take calls on the new Director’s Cut game: The Big Sausage Game! It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about big sausages.
