This week Kristin and Dan review “The Grey” and “Albert Nobbs” while Russell was forced to see (or “seen” if you’re from Arkansas) One for the Money. He also gives us a quick update on “Man on a Ledge”. We also speak with Sean Gandert about a fantastic survival documentary. In the studio we have special guest Tom Szymanski, as part of our “How to Make a Movie” series, about the writing process. Plus, we play the game “Coming Up or Made it Up” for the chance to win Blu-rays. Our top ten list this week is Top Ten Gender Bender Movies, I also think we did this already.
“The Grey” is a survival drama starring Liam Neeson. As roughnecks are on their way home after an extended work shift their airplane loses control and crashes. Surviving the crash was only half the problem as giant grey wolves want to have them for lunch. Do the remaining survivors make it back home? Or is this highly predictable plot and over use of pretentious imagery force us to no-longer care? Well find out on this episode of “The Directors Cut!”
